Kochi is a well-established commercial port having a long history rooted back to the 13th century. It has been attracting traders and travellers from as long as 600 years. Present day Alleppey formerly known as Alluppuza owes its existence to Raja Keshavdas, a Diwan of Travancore who built the current densely populated city in 1762. He was the backbone in building the rich cultural and commercial system. Alleppey is a district rich in its own culture and a rich commercial hub that offers some of the greatest travel experiences for its guests. The beautiful travel destination of Kerala is fondly called the “Venice of the East”.
Often referred to as ‘Cape Comorin’, Kanyakumari lies at the southernmost tip of mainland India. This beautiful town of Tamil Nadu is located at the intersection of the Arabian Sea, the Indian Ocean and the Gulf of Mannar. Being a coastal town, it is a major hub for trade and commerce. Kanyakumari had been ruled by many dynasties which include the Pandyas, Cholas and the Nayaks.
