Kanchipuram, known as the ‘City of 1000 Temples’, is a famous temple city located in the north-eastern coast of Tamil Nadu. Well-known for its glorious culture, heritage and famous silk sarees, the city is bound by Vellore and Thiruvannamalai districts in the west, Thiruvallur and Chennai districts in the north, Villupuram districts in the south and Bay of Bengal in the east.
The hill station of India developed by the Americans, Kodaikanal is located in the state of Tamil Nadu. The clean air and the fantastic climate makes Kodaikanal a big hit vacation spot in the summers. Earlier, people had to travel by bullock cart, horse or palanquin through Kodaikanal. It is known that the forests were swarmed by wild animals and robbers, back then.
Located in the southern most tip of the country, Thanjavur is situated in the Cauvery delta of the state of Tamil Nadu. Due to its substantial paddy production, the place is popularly referred to as the rice bowl of Tamil Nadu. Thanjavur is known for the agricultural activities and because of its agricultural produce, it is known as the granary of south India.
